BURT K. FISCHER, CPA


Mr. Fischer is a Certified Public Accountant based in Fountain Hills, Arizona. He is the President and sole shareholder of BKF, PC (a professional corporation organized in the state of Arizona). He has practiced as a CPA for over 40 years. He retired from Grant Thornton LLP (the fifth largest international accounting firm) in August 1998 after 35 years of service. His practice is limited to the identification and quantification of damages that are the subject of commercial litigation and the computation of amounts recoverable under insured risks arising from business interruption, inventory losses and employee theft. Mr. Fischer is frequently called upon to offer expert testimony in cases involving the above matters.

During his 35 year career with Grant Thornton LLP, Mr. Fischer held a variety of key positions:

He has presented numerous training programs on U.S. auditing procedures in Australia, Canada, Germany, France and the United Kingdom and authored the working draft of the firm's audit program entitled "Guide to Audit Objectives and Procedures." He is frequently called upon to aid in the assessment of damages, which are the subject of litigation, and to offer expert testimony thereon. Mr. Fischer holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Roosevelt University, Chicago, Illinois where he graduated Magnum Cum Laude. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is the former Chairman of the Finance and Administration Committee of the United Way of the National Capital Area (1990-1998), a former member of its Board and was the General Campaign Chairman for the 1992 United Way Campaign of the National Capital Area.
